The following list outlines the sanctioned (official), ad hoc and advisory committees..

Activities Advisory

The Activities Advisory Committee is an informal committee established by the Activities Director to review policies and program needs associated with the community's activities.

The committee typically consists of a small number of owners, together the Activities Director. The committee typically meets monthly.

Architectural Control

The Architectural Control Committee is an official committee of the Board charged with regulating any construction, the external appearance, and property improvements in such a manner as to comply with and meet the Community-Wide Standard, to best preserve and enhance values and to maintain a harmonious relationship among structures and the natural vegetation and topography. The Board of Directors has given this commitee limited powers to approve or deny architectural changes.

The committee consists of three or more persons appointed by the Board. The function of the committee is to ensure that all architectural changes are in compliance with the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. John Adams (Assistant Town Manager) acts as Chair of the Committee.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is charged with overseeing the community as specified in the VillageWalk Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. As such, the Board hires the Property Manager (Southwest Property Management) who in turn hires the Town Manager and staff.

The Board consists of five or more persons elected pursuant to the VillageWalk Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. Biographical information can be found on the Board of Directors page.

Covenants

The Covenants Committee is an official committee of the Board, charged with reviewing violations of the VillageWalk Declarations, Covenants and Restrictions and assisting the Town Manager with issues relating to these documents.  

This committee carries out its mandate at a overview level; it is not intended to undertake detailed reviews more appropriately the responsibility of DiVosta Homes and Southwest Property Management. Lester Lutz is the Chair of the Committee.

Members of this committee will have some experience in setting and / or administering policy.  This committee normally includes between five and seven owners, together with Town Manager.  Ideally, at least half of the owners on the committee will regard VillageWalk as their primary residence.

The committee meets at least quarterly.  There are 5 permanent and 5 alternate members of the committee

Covenants Review
The Covenants Review Committee is an ad hoc committee of the Board, charged with reviewing the VillageWalk Declarations, Covenants and Restrictions. The Chair of the Committee is Lester Lutz.  
Election
The Election Committee is an ad hoc committee of the Board, charged with preparing for the election of members of the Board of Directors. The Chairs of the Committee are Sandra Gibbons and Joe Ventre. 

Finance

The Finance Committee is an official committee of the Board, charged with reviewing monthly financial results and assisting the Town Manager with annual budgeting. The Committee also reviews other matters as requested by the Board. Frank Kearney is the Chair of the Cmmittee.

Members of this committee will have a financial and / or management background.  This committee normally includes between three and five owners, together with Town Manager, the Treasurer of the Board and the President of the Board..

The committee meets at least four times per year.

Fitness
The Fitness Committee is an official committee of the Board.Margaret Wagner is Chair of the Committee.
Landscape

The Landscape Committee is an official committee of the Board, charged with advising the Town Manager and the Board regarding landscaping and irrigation matters within the complex. Meryl Wade is Chair of the Committee.

The Town Manager carries out the committee's mandate at an operational level each week. 

If possible, at least some members of this committee will have a horticultural or irrigation background.  This committee will normally include between two or three owners, together with the Town Manager.  The committee meets at least quarterly.

Safety

The Safety Committee is an official committee of the Board charged with reviewing safety matters within the complex.

The committee meets as needed (ad hoc) when issues are referred to the committee by the Board or by members of the community. Mike Vober is Chair of the Committee.

Members of the committee will have a background or high level of interest in safety matters  This committee normally includes between three and five owners, a least one of whom is a member of each of the Health, Environmental and Security Committees.

Tennis

The Tennis Committee is an official committee established to review policies, programs and equipment needs associated with tennis activities. Gil Long is Chair of the Committee.

The committee consists of between three and five owners, together the Activities Director. The committee meets at least quarterly.
